There are two types of music players on Verizon Wireless devices. Some have a standard MP3 player, and others have the V CAST Music service. Both allow you to download music to your phone.

If your phone has a MP3 player*, you can download music from your computer to your phone's memory card. Most phones with music capabilities sold before 1/16/06 have the MP3 player instead of the V CAST Music service.

The V CAST Music service** is the newest option available, and it also allows you to download music from your computer, but it also has these key differences:

    International Roaming
    Make or receive calls while traveling internationally with rates starting as low as 69¢/minute.     Mobile Web
    Billing for Data Sent or Received. Mobile Web is included in all Nationwide Calling Plans. Megabyte charges apply to Basic and Select Plans. Unless you subscribe to the V Cast VPak, V CAST Mobile TV Select or Premium Calling Plans, megabytes sent or received using Mobile Web (including advertising) will be aggregated each month, rounded up to the next megabyte, and billed at $1.99/MB.

    Rates are rounded to the nearest whole megabyte. One megabyte is equal to 1024 kilobytes. Application charges apply in addition to charges for data sent/received.

    Important: On select smartphone devices, if you do not subscribe to a Data Plan or Data Feature, data usage will be billed at 1.5¢ per KB ($15.36 per MB), unless you add a data block or subscribe to a Wireless Email Feature. Other smartphone devices and all BlackBerry® devices require a Data Plan or a Data Feature.

    Minimum Term, Activation and Early Termination Fees

    • Month–to–month, one– or two–year minimum term required per line.
    • Activation Fee/line: $35, except $25 for secondary Family SharePlan® lines with two–year minimum term.
    • Activation fees may vary or be waived for business customers that have a Major Account Agreement with Verizon Wireless.
    • Early Termination Fee: Up to $175 per line for one– or two–year minimum terms.

    Taxes, Surcharges and Fees

    • Tolls, taxes, surcharges and other fees, such as E911 and gross receipt charges, vary by market and as of April 1, 2009, add between 5% and 36% to your monthly bill and are in addition to your monthly access fees and airtime charges.
    • Monthly Federal Universal Service Charge on interstate & international telecom charges (varies quarterly based on FCC rate) is 11.3% per line.
    • The Verizon Wireless monthly Regulatory Charge is 7¢ per line.
    • Monthly Administrative Charge (subject to change) is 85¢ per line.
    • The Federal Universal Service, Regulatory and Administrative Charges are Verizon Wireless charges, not taxes. For more details on these charges, call 1–888–684–1888.

    Important Information:
    For more information, refer to the Customer Agreement or speak with a Sales Representative. Service is subject to the Customer Agreement, which you should read before activating service. Credit approval required. Billing, shipping and end–user address must be within the Verizon Wireless licensed and service areas where the wireless phone number is issued.

    In some rare instances, dialing *228 may alter your Calling Plan's Airtime Rate and Coverage Area. The accuracy of the roaming indicator on your phone cannot be guaranteed. Charges for calls will be based on the cell sites used and time of day at the telephone switching office that carries your call, which may be different than the time of day shown on your phone. Rates do not apply to credit card or operator–assisted calls, which may be required in certain areas. Usage rounded up to next full minute. Unused allowance minutes lost. Charges start when you first press SEND or the call connects to a network on outgoing calls, and when the call connects to a network (which may be before it rings) on incoming calls. Time may end several seconds after you press END or the call otherwise disconnects. For calls made on our network, we only bill for calls that connect (which includes calls answered by machines). Calls to 'toll–free' numbers are toll–free; you will be billed airtime. Billing for airtime and related charges may sometimes be delayed. Delayed airtime will be applied against the included airtime for the month when you actually made or received the call, even though such charges may show up on a later bill. This may result in charges higher than you'd expect in the later month.

    Friends & Family
    Available on Nationwide Single Line plans with 900 Anytime minutes or more, or Nationwide Family SharePlans with 1400 Anytime minutes or more. Only domestic landline or wireless numbers (other than directory assistance, 900 numbers, or customer's own wireless or Voice Mail access numbers) may be added; all qualifying lines on an account share the same Friends & Family numbers, up to account's eligibility limits; My Verizon required to set up and manage Friends & Family numbers. See Sales Representative and brochures for details.

    Family SharePlan
    Minimum of two lines required. Maximum of five lines. Only one line is the primary line. All lines must be activated on the same billing account and in the same market.

    65 Plus Family SharePlan
    Plans limited to primary account holder 65 years of age or older. Two lines maximum. All lines must be activated on the same billing account and in the same market.

    Unlimited Messaging
    Applies when sending and receiving (i) Text, Picture, and Video Messages with Verizon Wireless and non-Verizon Wireless customers in the United States; (ii) Text, Picture, and Video Messages sent via email; (iii) Instant Messages; and (iv) Text Messages with customers of wireless carriers on participating networks in Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. International Text Messaging is 20¢ per message received and 25¢ per message sent. Premium Messaging programs not included. Messaging is available from within the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area, and is not available throughout the Nationwide Rate and Coverage Area.

    Connect Calling Plans
    Connect Plan available on select phones only. Mobile Email must be downloaded to your device via Get It Now/Media Center. Additional terms and conditions, which you will be required to accept to download the application, apply. If you do not download the application or if you delete the application, your monthly access will not be reduced. If you change devices, you will need to download the application to your new device. If you change from a Nationwide Connect Plan to another plan, you will be billed the monthly charge for Mobile Email (if you downloaded the application) until you cancel the subscription from your device. Unlimited data sent or received for Mobile Web, Get It Now®/Media Center and other data applications, including Mobile Email.

    Premium Calling Plans
    Premium Plan available on select phones only. VZ Navigator and Mobile Email must be downloaded to your device via Get It Now®. Additional terms and conditions, which you will be required to accept to download the applications, apply for VZ Navigator and Mobile Email. If you do not download the applications, if your device is not compatible with any/all of the applications, or if you delete any of the applications from your device, your monthly access will not be reduced. If you change devices, you will need to download the applications to your new device. If you change from a Nationwide Premium Calling Plan to another calling plan, you will be charged the monthly subscription fee for VZ Navigator and Mobile Email (if you downloaded the applications) until you cancel these subscriptions from your device.

    Unlimited Calling Plan
    Nationwide Unlimited Anytime Minute Plans are not eligible for any monthly access discounts. Anytime minutes are for live calls between individuals.

    Verizon Wireless Mobile to Mobile Calling
    You can talk with any of our customers anytime from within the Nationwide Rate and Coverage Area (in the United States and Puerto Rico) Rate and Coverage Area. If Caller ID is not present or Caller ID Block is initiated, Mobile to Mobile does not apply to incoming calls and will apply to outgoing calls only. Mobile to Mobile is not available to customers whose wireless exchange restricts the delivery of Caller ID or with fixed wireless devices with usage substantially from a single cell site. Mobile to Mobile does not apply if Call Forwarding or No Answer/Busy Transfer features are activated or to data usage, including Push to Talk calls, Picture Messaging or Video Messaging, calls to check your Voice Mail and calls to Verizon Wireless customers using any of the VZ Global services. Mobile to Mobile does not apply in those areas of Louisiana and Mississippi where your phone's roaming indicator flashes.

    Business Share Option
    Share option is available only if a minimum of five (5) Nationwide for Business or Nationwide Email Calling Plans for Business lines are activated and maintained on the same account, and the Share option is selected for each line. If at least five lines are not maintained on the account, the Share option will be removed from the remaining lines. Each qualifying line's unused monthly anytime voice minutes will pass to other qualifying lines that have exceeded their monthly anytime voice minutes during the same monthly billing period proportionally based on the number of minutes that such lines have exceeded their allowance. Sharing may only be available among lines activating wireless service in the same Verizon Wireless market. International dialing, directory assistance, and features may be categorized together, billed as "other charges", and not detailed on your bill.

    Internet Access
    Mobile Office Kits, PC Cards, PDAs or other wireless modem devices may not be used for Internet access without a subscription to select VZ Email or VZ Access plans.

    New Every Two® Information:
    New Every Two discount may vary depending on your account. To qualify, you must maintain service on a plan of $34.99 or higher and fulfill twenty (20) months of your two-year term, you will be eligible to apply your New Every Two discount toward the two-year discounted retail price of a new device, up to the price of the device after any available rebates. If your plan monthly access is $79.99 or higher for the entire three months prior to completing your New Every Two device upgrade, you will get up to $50 toward the purchase of that device. If your Plan monthly access is between $34.99 and $79.98 at any time during the three months prior to completing your New Every Two device upgrade, you will get up to $30 toward the purchase of that device. If you enrolled in the program prior to February 15, 2009, an continued to meet the requirements of the program, you will qualify for a New Every Two discount of up to $50 or $100 in value, depending on the monthly access of your Plan. You can also transfer your New Every Two discount to another line on your account. When completing your New Every Two upgrade, you will need to renew your agreement on the line that earned the New Every Two discount for another two years on a plan with a monthly access of $34.99 or higher. Upgrading your device at a discounted price, including exercising your Annual Upgrade option, will restart your eligibility for New Every Two.
    Secondary Family SharePlan lines are NOT eligible to participate in the program, except secondary Family SharePlan lines on an Unlimited Anytime Minute Plan. New Every Two discount amounts and plan tiers subject to change at Verizon Wireless' sole discretion. You may have only six months to take advantage of the New Every Two benefits once you become eligible.
